Recommended Song and Movie of the Week: Halloween Edition

Recommended Song

I'm Still Here- John Rzeznik
I know this is from a Disney movie, but I love this song. This song has always spoken to me. Check it out, going all the way back to 2002, my childhood!

Halloween Song- Grim Grinning Ghosts- This video and song takes me right back to being a kid, we use to always watch this video. It's a great Halloween party song. Live a little, take a listen.

Recommended Movie

Treasure Planet-(2002) The theme this week is Treasure Planet! One of the most underrated Disney movies I believe of all time. I would definitely put it in my top ten animated Disney movies. It's all about a teenager looking not only to find himself but to find Treasure Planet of course, but all the while dealing with pirates. I love the cyborg villain as well, because he isn't one dimensional with just an evil side, he is more realistic than most villains.

Halloween Movie- Trick r Treat(2007)- Taking a different route with the movie this week, not really a kids movie, but a great Halloween movie none the less. This movie breaks down into a few Halloween tales, it has some creepy parts for sure, but it's also just a lot of fun.

Creepy Tales of the Night- Sins of a Saint

1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Darkness is a natural part of human life, we live in the darkness, we hide in the darkness, some of us are the darkness.

Four men lay in a circle on ancient looking stone; all four men were unconscious at the moment. They were all far apart enough to not be able to touch each other. On each one of them, one of their legs was chained almost directly to the floor, preventing any one from standing up. Each of them had no socks or shoes on. One by one they each started to slowly come awake; the only problem was this room was nothing but darkness. Each one had no recent memory of what had happened prior to this. Confused and terrified they all didn’t even know the others were there right along beside them. One eventually said “Hello?” in a rather whiny voice, calling out into the darkness. “There’s someone else here?” said another. “Yes” said the first voice, “what’s going on?” “I’m not sure, I’m stuck to the floor, are you?” said the second voice.  Then a third voice came in and said “me too, I’m here and also stuck”. This voice must’ve been from an older man, his voice sounding a little raspier. “So there are three of us then?” said the first voice again. “Seems like it” said the second “Now how the hell do we get out of here?” he questioned into the darkness at the others. Then interrupting their conversation, flames came out of nowhere to light up the darkness. Four candles now came to life between all of them, and the men could now just see each other, but that was all, any further out was still complete darkness.
Now that they could see each other, they all rubbed their eyes to adjust to the sudden change of scenery. They also now noticed there was a fourth man also chained in the circle, but he did not speak. “Hey how come you didn’t say anything?” said the man who was supplying the second voice from earlier; he was an older black man, probably in his late-forties. He had on old jeans, and a gray sweatshirt, on the shirt in what looked like blood, was written the word “Atheist”.  But the other man tried to talk, but no words were coming out. He was a dark skinned young man; he looked to be of a middle-eastern heritage. He had on slacks and a dress shirt, that again written across in what looked like blood said “Muslim”. “Maybe he’s just too scared to talk” said the older man. He was indeed a little older than the rest, in his mid-sixties. He was fairly fit for his age, but had a head full of white hair; he had on round glasses and looked to be quite knowledgeable. His shirt read on it “Jew”.  Then the man supplying the first voice chimed in, “Or he can see that he’s in a room full of the enemy”, assuming the man that couldn’t talk must not be American. This man was a tad over weight; he had a few wrinkles on his face, but was only in his late forties. He had a blue T-shirt on that read “Christian”, in the blood looking letters. “Okay well we can all see we have been clearly labeled” said the Atheist man referring to his shirt. “What kind of sick shit is going on?” he continued. “I’d quite like to go by each other’s names over our labels, if it’s all the same to you guys” said the Jewish man, “My name’s Abraham”. “I’m Rick” said the Christian man quickly after, acting as if he must go next. “And my name’s Larry” said the atheist man. “I’m assuming you ain’t gonna tell us yours?” he said referencing to the Muslim man, who still couldn’t manage to get out words, no matter how hard he tried, Rick and Abraham shaking their heads in disappointment at him.
Before the conversation could go any further, a very subtle yet creepy chill went down all of their spines simultaneously. They each huddled in closer to themselves, looking for comfort, but there was none. They all sat individually alone, with nothing but darkness to their backs and above them, and strangers in front of them.  The candles next to them, swaying and flickering, that came with the chill, all of their bodies feeling cold as ice. Then they heard a faint whisper off in the darkness, as if it was talking to them. “What was that?” said Rick, quickly to respond, and frightened, obvious from the quiver in his voice. They each picked their heads up and heard it again, each one looking at the other for comfort.
“I see you have all finally awoken” said a very surreptitious voice from beyond the darkness, the voice was so creepy and mysterious; It almost sounded as if it was layered with two more of the same voices. The voice so powerful in its essence, each one had to control their pure fear and terror, it was a voice they had never heard before, and wish they never had, the candles practically going out when the voice spoke. Nobody dared say anything at first, but the voice spoke again “No introductions for me?” it questioned. Finally Rick getting enough courage to say “W-w-who are you?” he asked trembling. “Who am I? Well I go by many names, each one of you has a different name for me”, answered the voice in riddles. The men looking at each other confused, the Muslim man especially looking terrified, his eyes as wide as they could go looking around. “I am the one, the true supreme spirit of evil, or at least that’s what you humans call me” the voice continued.
Pale colors came across all of their faces now, “You mean you’re him…you're…you're…. Lucifer?” said Rick making a cross over his heart and saying a small prayer under his breath. The voice laughed a low horrendous laugh, “your prayers don’t work here…Christian. And to you yes that is me. Lucifer, Satan, ruler of hell, the devil himself, you are all in the presence of the worst demon to ever exist, and walk the earth”. The men looking at each other mortified. “Does this mean…we are…in hell?” said Abraham, taking a giant gulp. “No, you would be lucky if this were hell” answered the voice. “Now wait just a second, how do we know this isn’t some horse and pony trick?” said Larry, bravely questioning the devil himself “What do you look like? Show yourself”. “I come in many forms above” the voice replied. Then appearing before them out of the darkness appeared an average looking white man in a suit. “I live in each and every sin you commit” said the white man, then he transformed into a black woman. “I live through each and every one of you” said the black woman, she then transformed into a notable politician. “I am all around you every day, tempting you, as you feed me your hate”, the politician then turned into a small Chinese boy, “I thrive off of the darkness in this world, the darkness you created”. Then the boy turned into a famous actor, then a famous rapper, then a Native American woman, then a small white girl. “I am everywhere”. The voice was silent for a moment, and then in front of Larry, he saw the scariest face one could possibly imagine. It screamed in his face, it was massive, with long horns, and razor sharp teeth. The eyes reflecting stairways into hell itself, a massive black beard lay on its chin, the scream was so deafening, Larry grabbed his ears in pain and tears started to form on his face. The sheer terror was unparalleled. “Do you believe now?” said the voice, as the face disappeared. Larry was now covering his face with his hands, and nodding yes. “All of your pathetic life you have denied me, and look at you now. Bow before me human” said the devil. As Larry still shaking, got down on his knees and bowed.  “Does this mean…we are all dead?” said Abraham, also scared. “Not yet, you were all in a plane crash, and only two of you are going to survive and walk out of here” the evil entity replied. “But wait does that mean… Christians were always right? Is this the evidence one seeks, and why am I here?” said Rick having to know all of the answers. “I am not here to answer all of your spiritual needs, however all of you are more than deserving of being here. No one religion has ever been right, I am a combination of what many believe and so is the other side. I was however not meant for this, I saw the true beauty of earth. Then…you disgusting insects called humans came along. I knew you would destroy this beautiful planet and all that inhabited it. You disgust me with your governments, countries and dividing each other with your ridiculous criticisms over nothing more than skin color. You send your own children to fight hollow wars, and slaughter each other by the masses over meaningless paper and worthless gods. You each believe parts of the world belong to you, like you have some kind of right to it. You have a right to nothing!” bellowed the voice, making himself angry. “It was all mine, and now I am forged to lead hell, where I pick the scabs like you four off of the planet. And yet I am the condemned one, I am looked at as the one who should never be seen” the voice finished, the four men never being more terrified in their lives. “Trust me you all deserve to be here, regardless of what your clothes say, you claim to be men of religion, men of honor, men who have served their fellow humans rightfully. Let’s learn a little about each other shall we? One thing you should know is it was no accident you four are here together, you are all connected. Let’s see if actions really do speak louder than words” said the devil.
Then a few minutes went by and they heard nothing more. The four men just sat in silence, questioning their existence, questioning the choices they made in life. “Well if we are connected and we were in a plane crash, I think it’s not hard to figure out why he’s here with us” said Rick, the Christian man, breaking the silence and pointing at the Muslim man, the other two looking over at him, the Muslim man shaking his hands and head in a no fashion. “What? You’re saying he’s a terrorist?” asked Abraham. “I’m just putting the pieces that make sense together, what doesn’t make sense is why I am here. I have worshiped my lord and savior all my life. What have I done to deserve this?” said Rick back looking to the darkness above. “Well he said we are all connected right?” said Larry chiming in, “So maybe we need to learn a little bit about each other, starting with you, why do you look so damn familiar?” said Larry referring to Abraham. “What’s your story man?” “Well, as you know I’m a Jewish man, I live strongly by my religion, I am a retired cop, have been for about 20 years. I am…” before he could go on Larry interrupted “Wait a second, a retired cop? And your name’s Abraham?” he stopped talking for a second and grabbed his head in anger, and slid his hands down his face, knowing there was nothing he could do to take his rage out. “You son of a bitch!” said Larry passionately towards Abraham, “You’re Abraham Becker, I knew you looked familiar from the moment I saw you. You shot my brother you piece of shit!” said Larry screaming practically foaming at the mouth. Abraham was taken aback for a second and turned away from Larry, not saying anything for a minute. “What was his name?” he finally said. “His name was Tom, Tom Spencer. And you fucking shot him, for no reason man! There was a damn video of him with his hands up, saying don’t shoot, I didn’t do anything. But there you were, gun pointed and aimed” Larry said with tears almost in his eyes. “He was walking down the street at night, what was the crime there!?” said Larry gradually increasing to a yell, facing his brother's killer. “Well I…” Abraham was about to say something but Larry interrupted again “Well what!? You didn’t retire, you got off scot free man, and nothing was done about it, you left because they asked you to. When you should’ve been in jail! Tell me something, did you kill him because you genuinely thought he was a criminal or was it because he was black?” said Larry very upset now. Abraham looked at the face of the man he had wrongly done, “Look when you’re a cop sometimes you have to make split second decisions, you’re brother looked very suspicious. We thought he had a weapon in his pocket…But..”  “But what!? It was his fucking cell phone wasn’t it!?” yelled Larry. “Yes” said Abraham almost feeling guilt. “It’s not a surprise why you’re here, you deserve to be in hell” said Larry trying to face away from him. “But I’m not racist, I really..” “Fuck you man” said Larry and spit at Abraham, landing on his Jewish letters across his chest, Abraham making a face of disgust. “You’re wrong, it was an accident nothing more, and I don’t deserve this. I was doing my job!” answered Abraham angrily. Larry’s eyes getting huge, he yanked and pulled on the chain as hard as he could, “I will fucking kill you!” he tried to move but couldn’t, the chain not budging.
“Okay guys, calm down, I realize this is a…horrible situation. But we are still trapped down here, and there’s a big question unanswered …why am I here?” said Rick “it’s obvious why you are down here” he said looking at Abraham. Abraham getting furious that these men actually believed he did something wrong enough to deserve Hell. “Well…maybe you should tell us about yourself then” said Abraham through gritted teeth, referring to Rick. “Fine I will. I am a devoted Christian man. I own an auto parts store in North Carolina. I graduated from Cornell University about 25 years ago. I have 3 kids, one of them was taken from me about ten years ago, he was only 4” Rick said putting his head down with the last part, Larry looking up at him, but quickly turning away when they almost made eye contact. “Cornell University huh?” said Abraham, “My wife graduated from there about 25 years ago too”. “Oh really? What’s her name?” asked Rick casually. “Karen” said Abraham, acting as if he was back with her right now, “I’d do anything to see her right now”. Then Abraham’s demeanor changed fast, his eyes got small, as his eyebrows came together to form a very angry appearance. “What?” said Rick sort of scared of his face, but secretly knowing what this might be about now. “You’re Rick from Cornell and you graduated around the time my wife did, and we are all connected” said Abraham frustratingly, “My wife was raped by a man named Rick right around that time. Please tell me that wasn’t you”. Rick looked away guilty as could be. “Look I was young and stupid” he answered without looking the man in his eyes. “Oh my fucking god, I can’t believe after all this time, I am meeting you here” said Abraham still angry as anyone would be. “They didn’t even get you in trouble for that. Rich white guy, who had a scholarship, had a big future” said Abraham. “It wasn’t like that, she was passed out drunk at a party” Rick started to say but could see this was the wrong way to go about it. He stopped and took a deep breath, “I was slightly drunk myself, and before I know it, I am being brought up on charges for this insanity” he continued. “Insanity!?” said Abraham beyond angrily. “You raped an unconscious woman!”. “I hate the word rape, makes me sound like such a criminal. Besides she was asking for it, getting drunk at a party, with all these college guys. I had a future ahead of me. Do you know what prison would’ve done to me?” said Rick now defending himself. “Well do you know what it did to her!? She went into a depression after that. She ended up throwing a future away, a bright future. She never fully bounced back after that. I met her a few years later, and I did the best I could to bring her out of that. But she always had depression and anxiety, because of you!” said Abraham at Rick. Rick looking away, but showing no signs he really cared, giving no apologies. “You are the worst excuse for a Christian. It doesn’t surprise me you are down here” said Abraham. Rick was about to get furious, that someone would question his faith. But Larry interrupted, “How does that helpless feeling feel Abraham?” he said playing on Abraham’s emotions. “You stay out of this!” he replied in fury, the men starting to reveal their truest colors now, holding nothing back.
The Muslim man was just patiently waiting, and listening to everything around him. But that’s when the devil decided to come back, “That was a fun time huh?” the voice from beyond said.  “Remember I said two of you would walk out of here alive, well here’s your chance”. “Wait what about him? How is he connected?” said Rick looking at the Muslim man. “In due time, first we need our first elimination” said the devil, sounding as if he was happy as one could be. Then a gun appeared in the center of them all, it was a revolver. Just out of reach for all of them. “Whoever gets it first, will make the first elimination” said the devil with that low atrocious laugh. The four men looked at each other in terror, and then all reached and stretched their bodies to get to the gun first, each one of them trying to stretch their arms as far they could go, then Rick took off his shirt and draped it over the gun and reeled it in to himself, almost laughing, as he was the winner. The other three immediately terrified this could be their demise. “You have one shot, eliminate one of them” said the devil from the darkness. He put back on his shirt, Rick slowly aiming the gun at each one, not knowing who to take, or if he even could do it. “Do it, do it now!” the voice egged on. With sweat dripping off his face, he didn’t know who to choose, he kept switching between the three, until he fixed it on the Muslim man. The Man getting terrified, and waving his arms no.  “He probably works for Isis or something. Not saying anything, I bet he took down that plane and brought us here!” said Rick slowly pulling back the trigger a little bit. The other two not stopping him, or it could be them. Then a huge bang rang out in the darkness, as Rick fired at him, the bullet going straight through his skull, the Muslim man falling over, and blood pouring from his head. Blood splattering onto Rick’s shirt where it still read “Christian”. Rick killing a man in cold blood he knew nothing about.
Then there was silence after, the devil said nothing, the men said nothing. They were in astonishment at what just happened, the gun disappearing from Rick’s hand.  “Well I guess we know how we are all connected then” said Rick looking at them both, acting as if he made the right choice. “Actually we don’t…” said Larry looking at Rick. “I think I know how you and I are connected…about ten years ago, I had a major drinking problem, never quite reeling from my brother’s death”, he looked down in utter shame. Rick getting squinty eyes, wondering what this was about. “I left a bar, I was so drunk, and I could barely walk. I got in my car and tried to go home. But on my way there was this boy…” he could barely get the words out, he was choking up. Rick now connecting the pieces “it was you” he said very quietly. “I didn’t mean to hit him” said Larry looking at Rick for any sort of forgiveness. “He was just so close to the road, I wasn’t in my right mind, I knew they’d put me away forever if I was caught” he wiped his face with his hands, looking weary after this insane last twenty minutes or so of his life. “You killed my son!....you killed him” said Rick angrily but then in awe, he didn’t know what to feel. “We always said whoever did this would rot in hell…and here you are”. Larry looking down, almost agreeing that he did belong there. The three men full of sin were out of words for each other. “Still happy about whom you chose to kill?” said the voice coming back now, Rick looking away from the Muslim man’s body. “Now it is time for number two to go”.  The men once again getting on edge, another was about to meet his maker. This time a spinning board appeared in front of them all, the board was just barely within arm’s reach for them. The revolver once again was on one panel, the rest were empty, it started to spin around, whomever it landed on, would get the gun, each man staring at it like a dog looking at a steak. It finally stopped, and it was right in front of Larry. He grabbed it quickly as if someone would take it from him. And immediately pointed it at Abraham, “I got you now you son of a bitch” he said. “Wait just a second, you don’t want to do this” said Abraham scared but putting his hands up. “Oh I have wanted to do this for a long, long time” Larry responded looking crazy. “Do it!” Yelled Rick, “Shoot him! so we can get out of here”. But before there was any more time to think, Larry pointed it straight at Rick and fired. The bullet going straight through his chest, he fell backwards holding his chest, blood pouring out of him like a fountain. Abraham was in shock “but why?” he asked. “He was going to kill me as soon as he had the chance, at least this way, I don’t have to watch my back…as much” Larry said to Abraham.
“Well, well, well, looks like we have our final two, congratulations you two are the survivors” said the devil. The chains then released from their ankles, and they both stood up and stretched. “Now there’s your final test, make your way out of the darkness” said the devil. But before Abraham had time to think, Larry tackled him to the floor. He grabbed his throat and started choking him, “How does it feel to be lied to!?” Larry said as he tried to choke the life out of the older Abraham. Abraham struggling to get words out, but managed to say “You just murdered the father of the child you murdered before” playing on Larry’s emotions. Larry let up on his neck for a second, thinking about that. “Do you really want a third person’s blood on your hands before you go back to your old life?” asked Abraham able to breathe more now. Larry slowly released his grip on Abraham’s neck, looking like he just had some reality knocked in to him. “You’re right…not that you don’t deserve it…but I’ve killed enough for a lifetime” Larry said. They both got to their feet and wearily made their way into the pitch black room, bitter enemies but now had to seek comfort in each other,  “I think I see something ahead” yelled Larry, and the two made their way to a giant stone door. “Okay we made it. Let us go home” said Abraham calling out to the devil. “No, no, you have to figure out the key” said the devil. “The key?” asked Larry. “Yes there is a combination to open the door, you have 30 seconds”. “WHAT!?” Yelled Larry, “You lied!” “Time is ticking” said the devil. The door had a number of old stones that could be pushed in, the two men trying their hardest to figure out the right combination. Until suddenly their time was up, and the door disappeared, for a moment, it was only darkness, and then suddenly a fiery door way appeared. The souls of past perished people rang out of it. The heat so hot, the two couldn’t take it. “You see I took the Muslim man’s voice from the start, I told him the combination in secret. He knew the way out, he was in the U.S. army you fools!” the devil yelled loudly over the screams and laughed. “I knew one of you would let your prejudice ways cloud your thinking, right now he’s waking back up in his old life” “But you said WE would be free!” yelled Abraham. “I lied,” laughed the devil and two giant dark red monstrous hands with long black finger nails came behind them out of the darkness, and slowly pushed them into the door. They both screamed and tried to resist but went straight through to the other side, burning in hell, the devil laughing from beyond the darkness.

All Christians aren’t bad, all Jewish people aren’t bad, all black and white men aren’t bad, all Muslims aren’t bad, all cops aren’t bad, but actions really do speak louder than words. Stop hating, stop hurting, stop judging, stop killing. Start practicing what you preach or your demons might lead you to the darkness, where the devil himself lives.

Recommended Song and Movie of the Week: Halloween Edition

Recommended Song

Pain-Of Mice and Men -
I was never really into Of Mice and Men until this past year. I realized just how good they are. This song just makes you want to workout, or beat people up, whichever. One thing that makes them awesome is how they can switch up between a real heavy song like this one, and then a much softer song, like "Real". These tracks are off their new album "Cold World", which I plan to get eventually.

Halloween Song- It's Terror Time Again- This is from one of my favorite Scooby Doo movies, "Scooby Doo On Zombie Island", and it's awesome! It's a great Halloween track for a party. Check it out.

Recommended Movie

The Final Girls(2015)- My girlfriend and I just watched this a few weeks ago, and I wasn't expecting much, but man was it funny. A group of friends get sucked through a movie screen, and transported into a 70s horror flick where everything is very cliché. It's basically a parody of Friday the 13th, but it also has a serious element to it. The main character Max's (Taissa Farmiga, who you may know from American Horror Story) mother died in a car accident in the real world, and is one of the actress's in the movie they go in to. So she gets to spend time with her mother again, which adds a flavor of sadness to the film. But all in all it's pretty funny.

Halloween Movie- HalloweenTown-(1998) I'm sure you know this movie, it's a classic Halloween film. At least to me and people my age. It's from the classic Disney channel, and it actually spawned three sequels. It's a nice little family movie, and it's all about Halloween!

Recommended Song and Movie of the Week: Halloween Edition

So I decided Throughout the month of October that on top of the regular recommended song and movie, I'm going to do Halloween versions as well,  because who doesn't love Halloween!?

Recommended Songs

Through Fire- Stronger- For the regular song this week I have to go with one of the biggest rock songs over the summer. This is the debut album for these guys, and they killed it. This song will be stuck in your head. I got the whole album, and although it's only 9 actual songs, they are 9 really good songs. I also love this song because its just really motivating, and makes you feel better, at least it does for me.

Halloween Song- The Monster Mash!- You probably have heard of this one. Because it is a pretty popular Halloween track. It's a great tune for a Halloween party, especially a kid one. The first and original version was made in 1962!

Recommended Movies

Clown(2014)- Although this isn't the Halloween movie, it would be a great Halloween movie too! Produced by Eli Roth, Clown was finally released in the U.S. this past year, and I was beyond excited to finally see it. I love scary clowns, I have been one in our haunt plenty of times. I don't see why it has lower ratings, I mean it delivers exactly what you'd expect about a demonic clown suit, that turns one into a child eating clown monster. If you aren't okay with seeing children getting killed (In a movie obviously) then this might not be for you. I think it's a fun horror movie, I gave it a solid 8 out of 10.

Halloween Movie- Sleepy Hollow(1999)- Tim Burton and Johnny Depp deliver a great film in Sleepy Hollow. Not only is it a perfect Halloween movie, but just a great movie in general. You have to know the story of the headless horseman by now, with Ichabod crane. Well this is the best adaptation I have seen yet. With supporting cast Christina Ricci playing Katrina, and Christopher Walken playing the famous headless horseman, this film was destined to be great!

Creepy Tales of the Night- My Broken Heart

She quietly sat, tapping her polished red painted finger nails on the hard wood counter. She stared out the window at the driveway, waiting for her boyfriend to come home. A candle flickered and burned next to her, the wick slowly falling apart. She let out a deep sigh, getting rather frustrated. She grabbed a newspaper nearby and started reading it, a headline read something about a local janitor falling out of a window, she rolled her eyes, “Stupid people” she mumbled to herself. Finally she saw headlights pushing through the glass of the kitchen window. She got up and walked angrily over to the door and stood waiting with her arms crossed.
Roy put the sedan in park, and got out with a huge smile on his face. It was late, much later than he’d usually get home from work. Roy was a well-built man, in his early thirties. He had a great job at an office, working his way up to owning the company one day. He also had a beautiful girlfriend, whom he soon planned to make his fiancé. The problem was she could be a bit…angry sometimes. He grabbed the flowers from his passenger seat and began walking up the sidewalk to the small house set just outside a suburban town. He sniffed them, and regained that big smile, even though he knew she’d be mad he was late again, he was planning something big for tomorrow night. He opened the door to her standing there with her arms crossed, tapping her foot, staring at him with cold eyes. “Before you say anything, look I meant to text back, it’s just I got hung up at work, then I didn’t want to text and drive”, he started to say. “Save it” she interrupted, her name was Amber, she was a taller slender woman with long brown hair. She could be the sweetest person, but once she was angry, her blood turned cold as ice. “I don’t want to hear another word, why do you keep lying to me?” she asked.
“Lying to you? Baby I’m not lying, I was at work, I’ve been at work. I’m doing this for us” he answered and started to try and hug her and give her the flowers. She pushed him back, “Oh really? Then why doesn’t your bank account have any more money than usual in it?” she said very frustrated back, then grabbed the paper statement from a nearby stand and shoved it into his chest.  He looked at it confused and slightly worried she was on to him. “First off why are you going through my mail?” he said back then immediately wished he hadn’t said that. He was accustomed to dealing with her in these situations and usually knew what to say to calm her down. But that wasn’t it. She had her back turned to him, until he said that, her head slowly turned to face him, with wicked big angry eyes. Calling this the death stare was putting it lightly. “Are you fucking kidding me!?” she gradually increased her tone until she was screaming. “No I was out of line, I shouldn’t of…” he began to say, but she blew up before he could finish. “I work just as hard as you do, day in and day out. I bust my ass! And here you are sneaking around with some whore for god knows how long a night!” she yelled with tears in her eyes. “Sneaking around?” he questioned.  He too now started to get a little mad; usually he kept his cool with her. But this genuinely offended him. “I have never cheated on you” he simply said but with moxie, and also raising a finger.
She turned around all the way tears running down her face, her black makeup also running down her face. She was quieter now for a moment, but went on to say “Then explain the money? Where’s the extra for all of this overtime? And explain to me why my co-worker saw you at an Italian restaurant  two weeks ago when you told me you were working?” she stared directly into his soul looking for answers. He sort of mumbled out something that barely resembled words, and ran his hands through his hair. “Well…” he started to say but stopped, “It’s just…” he couldn’t get a sentence out. “You are unbelievable” she said before he actually said anything. “Have I not been good enough for you, do I not give you everything you wanted? Who is she?” He looked down and said again “I have never cheated on you Amber, it’s just something I can’t explain right now” he said with a quieter tone now. “Is that supposed to make this better?!” She started yelling again, throwing her arms up. “What are you hiding? Who are you hiding?” she got closer to his face now. He could feel her fiery hot breath on his face. He started to sweat, not knowing what to say, he didn’t have a way out of this. “Look I love you, I always have, and always will, but you just have to trust me” he replied walking to the kitchen fridge. “TRUST YOU!?” she screamed to loud for comfort. He cringed slightly at her annoyingly high pitched voice. But opened the fridge looking for a beer, hoping this would go away. She hauled off and slammed the fridge shut, almost shutting his face in it. “What the hell is the matter with you?” she said her eyes as wide as they could go. He pursed his lips, slightly annoyed with her actions. “Amber I just want a drink”. “Haven’t you had your fill with the hussy you were with?” she said up in his face once more. “I told you, you’re mistaken”. “But yet you have no answers for me, and I’m just supposed to believe you. Take your word for it, because you’ve been so trustworthy right? How about you also explain why when I logged into your phone account to look at your text messages. It says you’ve been deleting them?” she then turned a laptop nearby and faced it towards him. He looked at the screen, his eyes getting wide. “I know this looks really bad, but I’m really offended you have looked into this so much Amber!” he said with some anger, but knew it was a mistake going on the offense. She immediately blew up, her last nerve broke. “WHAT!?” she screamed so loudly it seemed the windows would break. She shoved him back; he stepped back a couple feet, beer in hand now. “YOU ARE DISGUSTING” she cried out, “YOU DON’T DESERVE ME” she pushed him back again. He almost lost his balance. “Look I can explain” he said over her loud bellow like cries, knowing it was time to come clean. “I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ANYMORE”, she then gave him one last huge push. This time he tripped over a pillow on the ground, and went spiraling backwards, his beer flying in the air, and his head landing directly on the corner of the coffee table. The back of his head was busted open, and he lost consciousness.
Everything was spinning in circles; his whole home looked like it had been chewed up and spit out in his vision. He went to grab his head that was throbbing in pain, but he couldn’t because his hands were stuck, at least that’s what he thought at first until he realized they were tied behind his back with rope. “What the hell?” he mumbled to himself. As he regained more of himself he saw that his feet too were tied together. He was moved to the kitchen table, and his hands were tied behind one of the legs, his back being held to it. “Amber?” he said louder. Then she came waltzing around the corner, looking scarier than he had ever seen her. Her face swirled with black makeup that was messed up due to so much crying. Her hair was all over the place, she had liquor stains down her shirt. It appears when he was out, she needed some consoling. “Oh hi!” she said bending down in front of him, not seeming quite as angry now. “Amber, what the hell? Untie me right now” he commanded. “Oh is someone angry?” she said condescendingly. “How does it feel? Well guess what, I’m in control now” she said with a giggle. Roy could clearly see she had snapped now. “Look I didn’t want to ruin the surprise but this has gone far enough, I’ll tell you everything” he said unhappily, wiggling around with the uncomfortable position he was in, blood on the back of his dress shirt, jacket, and head, now more dried than before. “Oh do go on” she said even though it was obvious she didn’t care. “I have been planning an engagement party for us; I was going to propose tomorrow night”. Rather than answer she blankly stared at him for a minute, then just started laughing uncontrollably. “OHHH THAT’S WHAT THIS IS” she said smacking herself in the face, like she just had an epiphany. He sort of grinned back, “Now babe untie me, this is silly” he said. “It’s funny you say that” she said back ignoring his request. “Because to me it looks like you were screwing another WOMAN!”  She screamed again but with a deranged smile. “No I swear, that’s why you haven’t seen the extra money, I’ve been planning this” he went on, actually starting to get scared now. “I don’t believe you” she said back with no emotion. “Amber c’mon, you have to” he said sounding desperate. “Or what I have to do is torture the truth right out of you” she said sadistically and walked away for a moment,
He didn’t know what to feel at first, would the woman he loved really hurt him like this? But she came back with a metal baseball bat. “Remember this?” she said holding it close to her. “We use to go to the batting cages when we first got together years ago” she paused for a moment looking as if she was feeling sad. “I hated the batting cages, but I pretended to like it for you!” she said as she raised it high in the air and came down on one of his knees. He screamed in pain. “AMBER!” he yelled out, “please stop I swear I’m not lying to you!” he said. His left knee smashed, and he couldn’t even grab it. “OK next part of your lie, why were you at that restaurant?” she said as she interrogated him. He said through gritted teeth, in so much pain “I reserved it for the party, it was going to be a surprise for you”. “Oh the lies never stop with you” she said, rubbing the bat all over him, pushing down on the bad knee. He cried in pain some more. “Why are you doing this? I thought you loved me?” he said in sobs. “That’s exactly what I thought after you passed out earlier, and then another thought came. I could make you love me again. I just have to fix your lying habits”. He said nothing, sweat pouring off of him. He could see his friends were right about her, she was a “crazy bitch”. “Next lie please, the texts” she said right in his face, wide eyed, like she knew she caught him red handed this time. “I’m done with this” he said turning his head to one side, trying to take the high road. “You’re done when I say you’re done!” She then left for a moment and came back with a pair of hedge trimmers. His eyes getting as wide as they could go now, she put them towards his genital region. “I really don’t want to do this, because I want kids someday. But you will tell me the truth now!” she said as she started to push the two handles together very slowly. “OK, OK, OK! JUST STOP!” he bellowed out. “I deleted them because I was inviting our family and friends, I didn’t want you to see them. I just didn’t want it to be ruined”. She pulled the trimmers away and took a moment to think about all of this.  “I still don’t believe you”.
She left again, this time coming back with her hair dryer. “What are you going to do with that?” he said scared of his once true love. “Until you can tell me the truth” she said as she plugged it in nearby, and turned it on medium. “This will slowly burn your flesh” she said smiling, all of the love she once had, now turned to rage. She set the hair dryer facing his leg; she ripped a section of his dress pants off, and let the dryer go to work.  At first he thought this wasn’t going to work, but sure enough it started to get really hot. “Hm this is taking too long” she said watching him and turned it on high. Now it really started to burn fast. “I don’t know what else to say!” he yelled out over the dryer, his leg in pain, the same left leg that his knee was smashed on.  “THE TRUTH” she screamed one of her earth shattering screams again, pulling her hair and screaming out over the dryer. He couldn’t take the dryer anymore, wiggling to get away. “OK THERES MORE!” he screamed out. His leg started swell up where the heat was coming in, the flesh starting to slowly burn. She bent down gradually and turned it off. “Yes?” she said acting as if she was back to normal now. He could barely get out the words with all of the pain he was in. “I…”... he started to say. “I just…” he honestly knew he had nothing else to say, but he couldn’t tolerate the pain any longer. “I just love you so much” he broke down and began to cry himself, “I just wanted to make you my wife, forever and always”. He looked up to her tears in his eyes. She stopped being a psycho for the time being. “Oh baby, I just want that too” she said getting down and stroking his face with her hand. His demeanor changed and he head butted her has hard as he could, the blow also hurting him. His face in pain, but for the moment she fell backwards and wasn’t moving. He had been quietly working on getting his hands free from the rope the whole time, with a steak knife he found on the ground. Finally they broke free. He started to go for his feet, but Amber grabbed the baseball bat and wacked his hands with it. He screamed out in pain. “WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?” she yelled. She went again to hit him, but he grabbed it and stood up, feet still tied. “Amber this ends now” he said fiercely. She still had that crazed look in her eyes. She kneed him in the balls, he fell to his knees in pain. She then walked out of the room.
She went straight to their bedroom and under the bed, she grabbed a case and inside laid a loaded pistol. She grabbed it and walked back down stairs, but now Roy was gone. “Oh honey where are you?” she said loud enough for anyone in the house to hear. She heard a rustling noise coming from the bathroom. She slowly walked over; pistol raised pointing to anyone in front of her. She walked into the bathroom, and quickly threw back the shower curtains, but nothing was there. “Oh Roy remember when we got this pistol? I was so against it, I said it was too dangerous. But look at how useful it is now. You always said you’d protect me with it. Too bad you are a lying pig” as she said all of this, she was walking around, searching for him. She knew with his bad leg, he couldn’t have gotten far. She then noticed a blood trail on the ground, she slowly followed it, it led straight to the back door in the kitchen that led into their backyard. She peered around, but saw nothing; she slowly opened the blinds to look outside, but still nothing. “Oh Roy don’t you still love me?” she called out. But then suddenly, he was right behind her, partially hunched over from the bad leg. “I did” he said and knocked her in the back of the head with a lamp. She fell to the floor, gun still in hand. He pulled out his phone and called 911, and told them the situation. He bent down to grab the gun, and roll her over, but she then sprang back to life and kicked him in his bad leg as hard as she could, his knee going in the complete opposite direction. He screamed and fell to the floor, dropping his phone. She regained herself, her head bleeding, her lip bleeding from the fall. “I will always love you, but clearly you don’t feel the same” she said standing over him, she pointed the gun towards him. He was crying in immense pain, and looked at her. “Amber please” he croaked, he went to reach into his jacket pocket, on instinct she immediately fired the gun three times, going straight into his chest, his blood painting the kitchen floor red.  She thought he was going to pull out a weapon, but instead as his body fell completely lifeless; his hand fell out of his jacket pocket and was holding a little black box.

She bent down in astonishment and slowly opened the box, inside hidden away was a beautiful diamond ring, just her size. Her reality started to come back to her now, what had she done? She thought to herself. “Roy?” she said softly now crying, and putting on the ring. She then thought of everything he said. She looked in his wallet and saw a card reservation for tomorrow evening at the Italian restaurant. “Oh my god” she said dropping the card into his pool of blood, as it slowly fluttered down, floating in the puddle. She stepped back with her hand over her mouth, feeling beyond sick to her stomach. She then heard a vibration noise coming from under the stove; she bent down and peered under to see his phone lighting up. It slipped under there, with his fall. She looked at it to see a message from his mother. It read “Hi dear, we are all set for your party tomorrow night, let us know how the proposal goes. I hope you are right that she will definitely say yes after all the work you put into this. I love you.” Amber started bawling and dropped the phone into his pool of blood as well; it fell down and splashed some onto her pants. She fell to her knees, screaming in emotional pain. “How could I do this?” she cried out in between sobs, she grabbed his head and put it on her lap. “I Love you Roy Smith” she said her tears falling onto his face. His eyes still open, as his corpse was almost bled dry, from all of the blood loss. She gently closed his eyes, and put her finger with the ring on it towards him, “It fits baby” she said sniffling, “and the answer is yes I do”. She then grabbed the gun covered in blood, and put it to her chin. There were sirens off in the distance getting closer; she looked at him one last time. “I’ll see you soon sweetheart” she said her last words and pulled the trigger. The loud bang echoing throughout the house, her brains splattering the walls all around their cute small kitchen, her blood covering the rest of the floor that his didn’t get to yet, their bloods mixing and creating a darker, richer, and thicker concoction. The back door having pieces of her brain dripping off it, the same back door he swept her off her feet and took her through years ago, when they were first official house owners. Some of her teeth bounced up onto the counters, the counter tops where she made them dinner every night, and they would laugh and tell stories. In the ceiling was a hole, the bullet went straight through to their bedroom upstairs, where they would hold each other in comfort every night, thinking they would spend forever together. The flowers he had brought home earlier, that were once a variety of colors, were now red after falling off of the counter into their pool of blood of below.
The only noise to be heard in the empty house was a small vibration of a cell phone that lay covered in both of their blood. It was Amber’s phone and on it read a message from an unknown number that said “Hey Cutie, is he asleep yet?;)”

People are More Fake than WWE

This may be an unpopular opinion amongst non-wrestling fans. But I am so sick of the lack of respect people have towards professional wrestling and the WWE in general. Seriously why oh why do people feel the need to degrade those of us who love it? I’m going to assume you watch movies right, or you watch TV? Well guess what here is the truth, almost everything you watch on TV isn’t real!  “The Walking Dead”…not real…”American Horror Story”…not real, hell even half of what you see on the news networks, isn’t even real, or at least not what is appears to be before the media put its twist on it. I love both of those shows I mentioned, and plenty of others, but the point is why is it looked down upon so much by the outside world to enjoy a PRE-DETERMINED show that is live? If anything it’s way more of a talent to be a WWE superstar or a professional wrestler anywhere in general, than it is to be an actor. Why? Because it’s done live in front of a crowd, in front of a camera. There are no re-shoots, no stunt doubles, this is pure talent whether you think so or not. Notice I said Pre-determined earlier, that’s because the term “fake”, is actually pretty degrading for a wrestler. It’s far from fake, yes the winner of the match is decided before hand, but who cares!? You know that TV show you watch, the person who just died, it was planned (I know mind blowing). I’d absolutely love to see you do a shooting star press, jumping from the turn buckle in the air, landing on another human being, without hurting them seriously and without hurting yourself. Or for that matter, anywhere else, they do these crazy moves off of ladders, barricades, and out onto the outside of the ring (where the ground is even harder than in the ring). (shooting star press video below)

I remember back in high school, someone found out I was a wrestling fan, and their exact words were “Wow I just lost respect for you”. What!? (Stone Cold Pun intended!). Lost respect for me? You lost respect because I love a TV program where men and women put their bodies on the line for our entertainment? Does anyone realize just how much these guys put on the line for their fans? You call it fake, but these superstars suffer so many injuries its crazy. One of my favorites, WWE superstar Randy Orton, once was tossed to the outside of the ring landing straight on his back region. His collar bone literally popped out of place. You could see it, he even said it. Not fake! But guess what that son of a bitch got back up, and finished that match. Do you even comprehend the pain that he must have been in?

That’s not even one of the worst ones; I could literally go on forever with the injuries that occur. Stone Cold Steve Austin getting almost paralyzed by Owen Hart from a botched pile driver, Brock Lesnar breaking his neck from an insane shooting star press, Vader’s eye popping out of its socket during a match, are just to name a few. It happens so often, and sometimes so brutally, that it ends superstar’s careers. Yes these guys get their careers ended by entertaining us, the fans. And what do they get in return from the outside world? Such disrespect it’s disgusting.  The worst injury to ever occur…well I guess you can’t really call it an injury, but that’d be Owen Hart. If you don’t know, in 1999, Owen Hart died in front of a live audience, and on TV. No it wasn’t in the ring, he was making an entrance, suspending from the rafters, and a cable wasn’t secured, he fell and was pronounced dead on the scene. Sad stuff huh? He did that doing his job, his passion, its one of the saddest moments in wrestling history.

Let’s talk strictly WWE here for a minute. Do you know how many awesome things the WWE and its superstars do outside of just wrestling? Probably not, because you were too busy condemning them from the start. But they are involved in so many awesome charity programs, and also create plenty themselves. For example look up Connor’s Cure, I guarantee if you watch one of their videos for it, it’ll warm your heart(video below). If it doesn’t, well maybe you don’t have one. It’s a charity to raise money for pediatric cancer research; they sell merchandise for it, and also contribute to it themselves. Connor himself was the first ever recipient of the Warrior award, they created in their Hall Of Fame for amazing people like him. Yes the WWE inducted a small child with cancer into their hall of fame, and made all of his dreams come true meeting all of his favorite wrestlers. But the WWE and its wrestlers are just horrible right? They also help raise money for Susan G Komen every year; you know to help fight breast cancer. They have a program called Be A Star, to help kids get through bullying. WWE Superstar John Cena, whom I’m sure you know of, has the highest numbers of wishes granted for the Make A Wish Foundation. He has over 500 wishes under him. That man goes above and beyond for his fans. The WWE also has been going overseas to perform for the troops each and every year. They offer free admission to all military personnel to any of their events. How do you not respect all of that? These Men and Women give their lives to their fans. On the road 24/7, performing, and working out, that’s basically their life.

Somehow though, wrestling fans have been chalked up to hillbilly idiots who love their “wrasslin” and NASCAR. This is the farthest from the truth; wrestling fans come from all walks of life, all over the world. There’s no one stereo type for a fan, you wouldn’t say there are certain types of fans for the NFL or for the NBA would you? I don’t see why people look at wrestling differently. Is it because you think they want you to believe it’s real? Well that isn’t true at all, especially not anymore. WWE themselves will tell you straight out on shows on the WWE Network, that it’s scripted. They openly talk about it. Nothing against my fellow wrestling fans, but it is a lot harder to get into it now than it used to be, because of the fact it’s so openly talked about how it isn’t real. I always knew from when I started watching in 3rd grade, that it wasn’t all real. But like any other show, I treated it as if it were. I got mad at certain characters; I got upset when ones would lose if they were my favorite. I was a kid, and I loved every second of it. But now a days the internet has killed that, under wrestling posts its always viewed as who needs what to be great, who needs wins, who’s getting buried, who’s getting pushed, rumors of what’s happening next. I get into this stuff sometimes myself, it’s kind of hard not to being a big fan. But a part of me wishes it was like the old days, and I could simply watch the show, enjoy my favorites, and not look into so much about the wins and losses. But such is life, now that they have brought in a new era, with brand splits and new titles; it has been on fire as of late. This is the era of true wrestling skills, never a better time to get into it than now. You will see phenomenal matches (AJ Styles pun intended), but I will say however the story telling isn’t as great as it once was. For some this doesn’t matter, they just want the wrestling. But remember it is called sports entertainment for a reason, because it isn’t supposed to be just a sport, but also storytelling, with character driven plots.

I know most fans will agree though, that what some people say about it is just infuriating. Like when people say “How can you say he earned the title and has worked hard, when it’s scripted”. This makes me furious, just because there are pre-determined outcomes of matches, that shouldn’t take anything away from these awesome athletes. They work their asses off in and out of the ring; most of them had to go through so much, so many grueling matches, so many injuries, and backstage politics to get to the point of being at the top. Another thing people say “oh you like watching half naked sweaty men”; all I can say for this one, is dude grow up.  If you’re that insecure with yourself, that you think this way, well I feel bad for you. People love and I mean LOVE to pull the steroids card too. If we went back thirty years ago, maybe even twenty, I’d agree with you, that’s why so many legends and older wrestlers have passed away to young. But now-a-days you are very wrong. Like any sport, they are consistently drug tested, and if they fail they only get so many chances until they lose their job. I know people absolutely hate that a person could possibly eat right, and exercise their ass off to bulk up. But they do, not to say they don’t use any sort of legal enhancements, but if you think it’s solely based on illegal steroid type drugs, well you’re wrong.  Guys like John Cena and Triple H, use to be bodybuilders, Cena himself has said multiple times he’s never touched an illegal drug. But you can believe whatever you want to make yourself feel better.

Please for the love of god stop comparing professional wrestling to UFC. We get it; they actually fuck each other up in UFC pretty good. I have nothing against UFC, and neither do most wrestlers. In fact as much as he isn’t one of my favorites by any means, remember Brock Lesnar was a wrestler first. He has gone back and forth, and has proved one thing; it’s possible to be proficient in both categories. But either way, it’s a whole different ball game, and there’s really no reason to compare the two. Most of them respect each other, why can’t you? There are plenty of fans who love both as well. That goes for all sports really. We see wrestlers attending baseball, football, and basketball games all the time, and we see athletes from all of those sports attending wrestling events. Why can’t you show an equal level of respect for them all? I don’t even watch any of those sports and I respect their talents. With that said though, remember most professional wrestlers work 365 days a year, they don't have off seasons.

The point to all of this is before you open and run your mouth about wrestling, think about some of this. These are some amazing humans, able to pull off the insane. They can do stuff most normal humans can’t and take abuse like no other. They give their lives to the people, and deserve some recognition for it. You don’t have to like any wrestling or watch any of it, to see what I’m talking about. I will forever be a WWE fan no matter what people think, it’s been one of the very few constant things in my life over time. It isn’t going anywhere, and neither am I as a fan. Unless you can nut up and do what they do, sit down and shut up. (Oh and if you managed to pull off that shooting star press, Try Neville’s Red Arrow)
